Description
Overview:
A qualified IT Specialist l who offers their services in the Life Sciences sector. Implement and
support control systems and computers (including hardware, software and input/output services). Define & implement support standards. Serve as escalation point to other IOT specialist or engineers. Work coordination.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintenance of computer systems and networks.
- Communicate with staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose or solve systems, networks, hardware, or software failures.
- Replace equipment parts as required.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a failure or set up a system.
- Set up new users' accounts, profiles and deals with password issues.
- Responds within agreed time limits to callouts.
- Works continuously on tasks until completion (or refer to third parties, when needed).
- Prioritize and manages one more cases at one time.
- Rapidly establishes a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, ex: software developers.
- Tests and evaluates new technology.
- Schedule/request facilities, network, and infrastructure work.
- Monitor LAN capacity including but not limited to available network ports in each wiring closet & Data Center.
- Stay current and compliant with JCA & customer processes, policies and procedures.
- Printer Management and Labeling.
- Tape backups management.
- Work coordination.
- Monitor and report metrics, reports, summarizes as agreed with the customer.
- Plan and lead response for infrastructure issues, such as Data Center & Wiring Room power outages.
- Organization and management of data center and wiring closets.
- Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
- Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
- Determine system performance standards.
- Create and manage database reports and visualizations.
- Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of IOT systems design, installation and troubleshooting preferably in a personal care/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or a closely related industry.

- Experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle)
