This role provides the opportunity to work independently and make a meaningful impact.

As a partner with your manager, you'll be responsible for providing technical field service support for our growing list of clients, including our own Redbox kiosks, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible care and that our company goals are met.

You'll be working under the direction of your supervisor, handling a range of different priorities from break-fix to projects. Every day will be different, making for an exciting and dynamic work environment


Key Responsibilities
Drive a company vehicle to maintain all product lines as assigned to include the following:

  • Repair, install, inspect, and maintain electronics or electrical mechanical equipment as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications
  • Perform and complete kiosk installation, preventative maintenance, and independently troubleshoot and repair kiosks onsite. Maintain the exterior of kiosks (cleaning, painting, restoring, etc.) as needed
  • Respond to dispatch calls utilizing a work order system during scheduled shift
  • Manage and maintain a parts inventory, repair tools, and equipment
  • Provide quality customer service through regular interaction and communication with coworkers, phonebased machine support, external customers and contractors, store owners, and managers/employees
  • Perform safety checks to ensure repairs are feasible in various conditions
  • Manage and install cables and wiring, splicing as needed
  • Report potentially dangerous electrical equipment and incidents to supervisor
  • Develop and maintain records related to electronic and electrical equipment
  • Secure all company merchandise and ensure kiosks are properly locked
  • Properly care for and follow maintenance schedule for all company issued property, including company vehicle, phone, tablet, parts, tools, and inventory
  • Load and unload product from automobile, residence, and warehouse
  • Perform administrative tasks with attention to detail including work tasks, parts used, logging activities, miles driven, meal breaks, and time worked
  • Provide timely communication to coworkers and leadership team
  • Support the Regional Operations Supervisor (ROS) and assist the Merchandising Team with additional duties as assigned and necessitated by evolving scope of business needs

Education & Experience

Some relevant field experience preferred, ideally with:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical equipment repair, where you're troubleshooting, loading and configuring software, replacing hardware parts and handling component/peripheral replacements
  • Troubleshooting as part of a remote tech support or help desk team
  • 1+ years of experience in a customerfacing position
  • Experience operating a scissor lift and/or other powered equipment is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Possess basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP) including configuring IP addresses, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and configuring Wi-Fi devices (routers/switches)
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools (e.g., drills, hammers, saws, sanders, multimeters, cable testers, crimpers, shovels, extension ladder)
  • Ability to follow written Technical Service Bulletins/Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must be able to thrive in a virtual training environment as well as learn handson
  • Adaptable to ever changing environment and procedures
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problemsolving skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others

Other Requirements

  • Occasional travel with overnight stays may be necessary
  • Must have valid driver's license & maintain an excellent driving record
  • Ability to store at least 50 cubic feet of company merchandise within your personal residence
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule to include weekends and holidays, and be flexible with start and end times each day to fit market needs
