We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team.As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing 1:1 support and assistance to the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and educational environment for our students with developmental delays/autism.
This is a paid position, and we offer opportunities for professional growth and development.PAID TRAINING
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special education needs
- Assist with toddler care, including diapering, feeding, and ensuring a safe environment
- Work closely with students on the autism spectrum, providing guidance and support
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in curriculum development and implementation
- Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and addressing challenging behaviors
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development for young children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with special needs
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
