Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Escort patient to and from exam room, help patient prepare for appointment. Take photos and obtain treatment consents in EMR.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
- Assist physician during exam/procedure.
- Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow up appointments.
- Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed.
- Document all medical instructions given to patients.
- Knowledge of cosmetic treatments offered & ability to discuss treatments with patients, providing written quotes to patients.
- Assist providers with cosmetic lasers, Botox & filler injections as needed. Provide patients with after care instructions. Discuss & book next cosmetic treatments.
- Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Certification preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.)
Experience:
Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office. Prior dermatology experience preferred.

Performance Requirements:
- Quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
- Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD10.
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and coworkers alike.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted medical office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
