Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.


Duties:


  • Perform general custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
  • Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and polishing
  • Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events
  • Follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial and commercial cleaning techniques
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or standing for long periods of time
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
