Welder

We are currently seeking a candidate with 3+ years of metal welding experience and excellent communication skills for a client in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

In this position, you will be working with a company that supplies everything from fryer automation equipment to oil waste removal equipment. Their products are award winning, classy in design, and considered the gold standard in their industries. Do they sound like a good fit for you? Read on

Shift:

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Pay:

$ / hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Read blueprints / drawings
Take / read measurements to plan layout / procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment / method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using calipers / rulers / clamp pieces
Weld components using manual / semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
Repair machinery / other components by welding pieces / filling gaps
Test / inspect welded surfaces / structure to discover flaws
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Minimum Requirements:

3+ years of proven experience welding metal structure
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, MMA etc.)
Experience in using electrical / manual tools
Ability to read / interpret technical documents / drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards / willingness to use protective clothing
Good understanding of quality control principles
Good communication skills
High school diploma / equivalent work experience
AWS welding certification / degree from a technical school OR apprenticeship is preferred
