Description

The Admissions Specialist is responsible for systematically and ethically promoting enrollment and starting qualified students, all within standards and guidelines established by the institution.

Additionally, the Admissions Specialist must utilize discretion and independent judgment with respect to reviewing prospective student requirements for entrance into their program of interest.


Required education and experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two to three years? previous relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency using computers and related IT equipment, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint); Acrobat Pro, Google Docs, Web browsers (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox)
  • Prior use of customer relationship management systems and/or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent human relations and administrative skills, especially the ability to manage sensitive information with decorum and confidentiality.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to produce desired results and ability to manage concurrent projects and demands.
  • Ability to collaborate crossfunctionally within the division and with key units across the Institution.
  • Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and a goaloriented, selfmotivated approach toward achieving consistent results.

Preferred education and experience

  • Associate or Bachelor of Business or Marketing
  • Two to Three years sales experience
