The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining WaterJet and Laser Jet cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate WaterJet and Laser Jet cutting machines to cut, shape, and modify materials according to production specifications and schedules.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and operational requirements. Perform machine setup, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance. Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and consistency of cuts, making adjustments as necessary. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and production targets are met. Document production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and inspection results.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating WaterJet and/or Laser Jet cutting machines preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Basic computer skills for machine operation and documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Standing for extended periods. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
