- Bachelor's degree in management, business, personnel administration, education, or human services or Associate's degree with at least 5 years of related experience required
- At least 3 years of experience in community/services activities, public relations, business and volunteer experience required
- Volunteer Impact Leadership Training (VILT) or Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) preferred
- Demonstrated management skills
- Experience working with large groups of volunteers is preferred

Description
The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, coordination, quality, financial performance, risk management, and effective operation of the Volunteer Services department across CentraCare.
Working with employed staff, auxiliary boards, and volunteers, the Director sets and pursues best practices and innovation in volunteer programming; identifies and creates opportunities to positively contribute to the patient/visitor experience and organizational goals; and oversees effective, efficient, and compliant processes for recruiting, hiring training and scheduling staff and volunteers.
In retail or sales-based programs, the Director will have responsibility for evaluating and adjusting strategies to ensure profitable outcomes that support designated organizational and community investments.
Volunteer Services supports patients, their families and CentraCare operations throughout its hospitals, outpatient services, and clinics by assisting patients, families, and staff; operating retail gift galleries; a medical alert service; home-delivered meals; and a guest house.
