Description
Midland is looking for gardeners in the ornamental plant industry to help make the city more beautiful. Every year, they supply around plants to Stuttgart's parks and green spaces.

This job is perfect for people who have a passion for nature and plants, as well as a lot of creative ideas.

The training program, which takes place at the city's gardening, cemetery, and forestry office, lasts for three years and is primarily held at the Fasanenhof gardening facility.

Those with a high school diploma or completed vocational training have the opportunity to complete the program in just two years.

The vocational school classes are held at the Stuttgart-Vaihingen vocational school.


Training content includes:

  • Growing plants such as green and flowering potted plants, cut flowers, and bed and balcony plants
  • Watering and fertilizing potted plants
  • Familiarizing oneself with plant knowledge
  • Using and maintaining garden machinery and equipment
  • Taking care of plant propagation, such as cutting stems
