Position:Event Planner and Communication Coordinator
Location:
Chicago, IL
(Must be located near Chicago, IL)
Pay:
$60,000 per year. Full Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, ESOP)
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, staffing, management and communication.
- Maintain a calendar of yearly inperson seminars, tradeshows and roundtable virtual meetings.
- Assist in scouting and booking locations, food, entertainment and staff.
- Work with team members to define event details, and schedules.
- Facilitate the development of event communication, invitations, presentations and agendas.
- Manage attendee lists, name tags, supplies and other materials needed.
- Manage and maintain a working relationship with vendors.
- Troubleshoot issues with facilities to ensure successful events.
- Attend events as required to provide support before, during and after events.
- Assisting with travel arrangements as needed.
- Support the Director of Marketing and other executives to ensure timely delivery of all corporate communication, including newsletters.
Education and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Asana
- 5+ years' experience in event planning and corporate communication
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and an aptitude for problemsolving
- Ability to travel up to 25%
