The Legal Assistant position is responsible for responding to and managing assigned records requests submitted by community members, state agencies, and various other individuals and entities.
Confidential information will be handled frequently, and the Clerk will routinely obtain records from confidential electronic databases and various internal departments.
This position requires strong organizational and time-management skills to successfully comply with statutory deadlines while still providing accurate and professional responses to DCF clients.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or legal secretary. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree and some legal training. A law degree is not require
