Salary
:
$75 to $90 per hour; up to 25 hours per week.

Job Summary:


The Controller
reports to the CEO and will oversee the activities of the finance team. As the Controller, you will have the opportunity to make process improvements, upgrade procedures and internal controls, manage the day-to-day finance department and financial reporting.


Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).

Budgeting and Forecasting:Create and oversee budgets and forecasts that serve as valuable tools for financial decision-making and operational planning.

Internal Controls:Create and uphold a robust system of internal controls to protect the valuable assets of our company and guarantee that we meet all regulatory requirements with ease.

Financial Analysis:Provide valuable financial analysis and insights to empower strategic decision-making.

Cash Management:Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to ensure liquidity and financial stability.

Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and liaising with external tax advisors.

Risk Management:Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.

Team Leadership:Manage finance staff, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and expertise.

Financial Strategy: Contribute to the development of financial strategies and policies to support the organization's growth and profitability objectives.

Self-Starter: Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving skills.


Requirements:

Experience:five or more years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least one year of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA), or chartered global management accountant (CGMA) is highly preferred
