    Description
    In the Sr.

    Engineer I role, you will contribute to the development of the Olympus technical products that ensure scalable, fault tolerant, & timely delivery of ecommerce messages and data to IOT devices.

    You are responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of new features or changes to these applications.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Developing the following:
    Scalable interactive ecommerce applications


    GraphQL web service


    MQTT messaging service


    Golang Kafka messaging service


    Write comprehensive unit tests


    Architect, design, optimize, and refactor code to deliver new features and maximize performance


    Contribute to requirement elicitation and grooming of new functionality


    Contribute to timely code review of submitted changes by the team


    Participate in daily & weekly ceremonies to ensure work items are clearly defined and that any blockers are addressed


    Participate in a rotating on-call for service outages outside of business hours


    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or information systems


    5 years software engineering experience.


    Familiarity with the following:
    Golang


    NodeJS, JavaScript/Typescript


    GraphQL APIs


    PostgreSQL


    Couchbase


    Kafka


    Redis or similar caching services


    Service containerization (Docker, Podman, etc.)


    Additional Preferred Skills:

    Kotlin for Couchbase to Kafka document delivery


    Gitlab CI or other pipeline experience

    Salary Range:
    $­­111,500 to $153,780 annually + bonus eligibility.

    This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

    Yum provides 4 weeks of vacation, paid sick leave, 10 paid holidays, a floating day off and 2 paid days for volunteer time each calendar year.
