Description

Alaris Health at Belgrove, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in Kearny, New Jersey, seeks a van driver. As a van driver, you will do more than simply get residents from point A to point B.

You will be responsible for:
- safely operating the Center's vehicles when transporting residents, clients and/or employees during activities and to pre-approved destinations
- assisting residents and/or employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicles
- maintaining route and mileage logs and monitoring routine vehicle safety checks (fuel and vital fluid levels, etc.)
- immediately reporting any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the maintenance director/administrator
- always representing the Center in a positive light and interacting in a warm and positive manner with residents and their families/responsible parties

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school degree or equivalent
Possess excellent driving records and be safety conscious (a CDL driver's license is preferred)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate individual capable of rendering physical assistance to residents as needed
Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
