- Valid and active California (CA) Registered Nurse (RN) license or equal clinical experience
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certification Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred.
- Utilizes clinical expertise and excellent listening/communication skills to collaborate, inform and educate the healthcare team to create a safe and effective environment,
- Skilled at methods of investigation and review, statistical analysis and reporting, performance measures, and performance improvement methodology
- Experienced in presentation of quality and safety data and visual management of outcome data.
- Visible in patient care areas (daily rounding) to assist staff and management to understand and improve performance on quality outcome goals
- Critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently to accomplish duties and ensure continuous performance improvement activities across the organization.
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of recent (in the past five (5) years) experience in area of quality, patient safety and/or performance improvement.
- One (1) year recent nursing leadership/management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
