    Description

    We're seeking a System Prototype Electrical Engineer to spearhead the research, design, development, and testing of cutting-edge, high-density wearable electronics. Join our dynamic team focused on pioneering Augmented and Mixed Reality technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Innovate and design novel or derivative prototype systems, incorporating components like system-on-chip (SoC), FPGAs, microprocessors, and custom integrated circuits.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including System Integrators, Product Design Engineers, Firmware/Software Developers, and Lab Technicians to deliver full-stack prototypes.
    • Take charge of schematic capture using OrCAD Capture and collaborate on circuit board layout using Allegro, ensuring seamless integration with existing hardware.
    • Conduct hardware power-on and basic functionality tests for new designs, and liaise with firmware teams to address hardware bring-up dependencies.
    • Support the scaled build and deployment of prototype systems for end users.

    Required Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience with a solid understanding of Electrical Engineering principles.
    • Proven experience in high-density Rigid/flex board design and system integration.
    • Knowledge of circuit board fabrication, assembly technology, and sourcing processes.
    • Proficiency with standard electrical lab equipment and rapid prototyping techniques.
    • Familiarity with core tech areas such as SoC, sensors, wireless communication, audio systems, and digital interfaces.
    • Capability to design, bring up, and evaluate projects within these technical domains.

    Desired Skills:

    • Ability to navigate projects with high ambiguity and drive clarity amidst multiple pathways.
    • Basic comprehension of embedded software architecture, particularly in interpreting code functionality.
    • Proficiency in leveraging automation tools to enhance project quality and scalability.
