Summary


As part of our Manufacturing Division, Polysaccharide Vaccines Technical Operations at West Point is seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with the Operations, Quality Operations, and Regulatory groups to meet targeted supply and compliance initiatives.

Polysaccharide Vaccines includes fermentation processing, vaccine purification, media preparation, bulk formulation, sterile filtration, and manufacture of conjugate vaccine processes.

Specifically, you will be responsible for providing Deviation Management support, and becoming a technical expert to support the manufacture of these products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and/or works as a team member on manufacturing investigations and/or process improvement projects with low to medium complexity or scope.
  • Ability to examine an issue from diverse perspectives (safety, compliance, automation, equipment, process, and people) in order to best understand and resolve the root cause
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing shop floor for problems and issues
  • Authors and updates technical and manufacturing documents necessary for investigations, process design/definition, engineering studies, process demonstrations, change control and validation
  • Develops/coaches less experienced team members

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biological Science or other appropriate science or engineering field.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong technical problemsolving abilities
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Previous experience as a deviation management author
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in GMP manufacturing and/or technical support of GMP manufacturing operations
