Equipment Operator to join our team. We are seeking a "top talent" detail-oriented, organized equipment operator with experience driving a forklift to join our team. This role is considered a non-exempt position for purposed of federal wage and hour law.

Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Equipment Operator to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized equipment operator with experience driving a forklift to join our team.

Essential


Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.

• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications.
• Load work pieces into machines.
• Start machines, monitor their operations.
• Test and adjust machine speeds or actions.
• Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in machines.
• Clean and lubricate machines (general maintenance).
• Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds.
• Inventory product.
• Cuts materials to specification with good accuracy.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work with cordless/pneumatic and basic hand tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to add and subtract fractions.
• Ability to understand and work with build documents and basic drawings.
• Attention to detail and group problemsolving skills required.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Able to program machine if required
• Must be able to operate forklift
• Must be able to life 70+ lbs consistently
