Senior Kernel Engineer - Open Source Development at Lawtonka Acres

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Kernel Engineer to join our team at Lawtonka Acres. In this role, you will work alongside a team of operating systems and virtualization experts, serving as one of the senior engineers. Your extensive experience in this field will allow you to analyze and advance the state-of-the-art of OS technologies and system software, with a focus on the Linux kernel. You will also make significant contributions to the Linux kernel and related projects, solidifying our company's position in the major OS and system communities.

The key competencies for this role include:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering projects, working as an R&D professional or engineer
Familiarity with the Linux environment, including command line, remote shell, scripting, and collaboration tools, as well as knowledge of kernel internals
A strong understanding of established virtualization frameworks such as KVM, QEMU, Xen, or Virtio
Knowledge of the overall architecture of the Linux kernel and experience with embedded real-time operating systems, particularly FreeRTOS
Experience contributing to and collaborating with the open source community is highly beneficial
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Rust, or Python is a plus
