About the opportunity:
This role will be based at our brand new Fiber Technology Center in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our fiber cable product engineering team.
The Fiber Optic Engineering Document Control specialist will support the Product Development Engineering team and work in close collaboration with Product Line Management team, Spec Engineering team, and Operations team to maintain documentation, systems and procedures for Fiber Cable Product Lines.
The specialist will also collaborate on the development and improvement of new systems and procedures.- This position will be based in Tucson, AZ. _
Our Document Control Specialist will make an impact in the following way:
- Prepare, submit, and monitor approval of engineering change orders. This will involve review of design specifications with engineers, and communicate with spec engineering, procurement, purchasing, process engineering departments.
- Submit controlled design specifications and procedures for approval to quality system.
- Organize controlled documents in quality system.
- Provide support to the Product Management team on setting up part numbers for product launch.
- Update or create technical data sheets. This will involve creating drawings.
- Manages data and documents to preserve data integrity and ensure consistencies.
- Run cost analysis for engineering projects.
- Participate in the validation of a new MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Create or modify new part number in MES system using established formulas and controlled design specifications.

What you will bring:
- Experience in Engineering technical writing and/or data creation.
- Experience working in a fastpaced and multitasking environment.
- Excellent attention to details and resourcefulness.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
If you already have the following, great. If not, we'll teach you
- Experience using MES system (BPCS, SAP, or others).
- Knowledge of optical fiber cable preferred
- Solidworks modeling or similar software.
- Proficient in Spanish
- This position requires fulltime, onsite presence._
