As a Defense Mission Professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As a Strategic Defense Communicator, you'll bring your leadership, consulting, strategic communications, Army or Joint knowledge, Security Cooperation experience, speech writing, and planning expertise to work on projects for Army International Affairs.
You will conduct research, analysis, planning, training, strategy and develop a full range of print, visual, digital, online media and collateral to support Security Assistance, Armaments Cooperation, Foreign Military Sales, Acquisition Programs, and foreign partner engagement.
You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, to enable DoD and Service headquarters agency transformation.
You'll guide the work we do for Strategic Communications and the solutions we deliver for materiel modernization, case delivery, cooperation programs, international training, international agreements, personnel and information exchanges, as well as bilateral or multilateral engagement with foreign partners.
Having served your country as a Servicemember or DoD Civilian, further your career with us as you help solve complex development, acquisition, integration, and analytical problems for Army International Cooperation.
You Have:
- 8+ years of experience serving in a DoD, Military Services, or Combatant Command support role
- 2+ years of experience independently performing speechwriting, building presentations, and developing collateral, web sites, and media, or press engagements
- Knowledge of Security or Armaments Cooperation and Foreign Military Sales
- Ability to provide direct support, lead staff coordination, and formally brief Senior Executive and General Officer leaders
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Communications, or Journalism
- Certification in Communications or Public Affairs
Nice If You Have:
- 4+ years of experience developing communications strategies, teams, training, and networks
- Knowledge of International Cooperation at DoD, Joint Staff, or Combatant Command Headquarters
- Ability to perform wide range of strategic communications roles
- Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree or 10+ years of experience in International or Public Affairs, or in a DoD, Service, or Joint headquarters role
