Suitland, MD


As a
Junior Cybersecurity Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, related degree or an additional two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure transparency and facilitate decisionmaking within the project team and stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail to meticulously review project documentation, requirements, and test artifacts to identify potential discrepancies or inconsistencies. This helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures that testing efforts are aligned with project expectations and standards.
  • Experience evaluating project requirements, identifying risks, and prioritizing efforts accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

Preferred Skills:


  • Familiarity with common security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
  • Basic understanding of security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess security controls, and evaluate compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity and their implications for data protection and privacy.

Responsibilities:


  • Assisting with all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
  • Provide insights into the quality of project deliverables and recommend strategies for improvement to enhance overall project success.
  • Review and assess cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of cybersecurity processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement quality assurance methodologies and tools for cybersecurity assessments.
  • Assist in the documentation and maintenance of quality assurance documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of cybersecurity documentation and processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to draft, write, format, edit, and critically evaluate corporate and program documents and presentations.
  • Ensure support and protection of FIPS 199 High-Level Systems.
