Job Title:
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER


Under general direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development, direction and coordination of human resources activities within the company such as compensation, staffing, employee relations, employment regulatory compliance and employee policies.

Will originate and lead HR practices & objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance environment.

In addition, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organizations business goals, as well as the implementation of people related services and programs.

Assists company managers in HR related issues.


Specific HR Manager duties are as follows:

  • Compiles payroll statistics for internal management records. Audits and transmits reports as they pertain to payroll liabilities. Close interface with payroll service for problem resolutions.
  • Directs and performs payroll function biweekly by reviewing and processing time cards and calculating company payrolls. Responsible for reviewing and approving payroll deductions, overtime pay, pto and all other types of pay.
  • Ensures accuracy of employee database(s) for both present and past associates by maintaining employee personnel files, including but not limited to new hire paperwork, employment onboarding, benefit enrollment, workers compensation files, training history and employee badge access.
  • Keeps high profile in company at all times and remains available to all employees. Provides employees with assistance and guidance as maybe required to help navigate employee payroll, benefit and PTO systems.
  • Employee personal and disciplinary counseling requiring excellent communication skills and discretion. Writes disciplinary actions and warnings as required.
  • Keeps abreast of new and existing laws which directly or indirectly affect human resources compliance. Ensures that required Federal and State posters are current. Represent the Company at Unemployment hearings.
  • Monitors and maintains need for new or updated company policies and/or procedures, including company handbook.
  • Responsible for Leaves of Absence, Workers Compensation, Independent Contractor Agreements, OSHA 300, I9 verification.
  • Designs and implements inhouse training for management and employees as required.
  • Performance evaluation implementation and tracking. Writes and updates performance evaluation forms as required.
  • Maintains employee accruals for pto, floating holidays, and sick time. Answers inquiries from employees regarding available time.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
BA Business Management with a minimum of five years Human Resource and Payroll processing experience or equivalent


CONTACTS
Heavy internal contacts with all levels of employees, as well as externally, i.e., applicants, vendors, etc.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office conditions.


SUPERVISION


Plans, assigns and reviews work of subordinates, trains or directs their training in such areas as job duties, company policies and procedures, enforces all company rules and regulations, and recommends all personnel actions within the group.


Pay:
$75, $90,000.00 per year
