This position is a 10.25 alternate work schedule (AWS) full time day shift position with benefits at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Prebys Cardiovascular Institute offers some of the most advanced heart care and surgery available, including:
Ø Advanced cardiac imaging and other diagnostic tests

Ø Electrophysiology services

Ø Interventional cardiology procedures

Ø Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery

Ø Heart failure care, including LVAD placement

Join Scripps Health as RN in the Electrophysiology Unit where you will:

v Coordinate and collaborate with team members to prepare and organize case start, assist with setting up before and taking down rooms after the procedure, circulate during the procedure.

v Assist anesthesiologist with anesthesia induction and intubation.


v Anticipate patient-specific needs and scenarios during the case and work with team when needed during critical circumstances to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

v You will also direct patient care within the scope of your practice.


v This includes patient care assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.

v You will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision.


Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:


  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One (1) year RN experience.
  • California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS provider certifications.
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • CCRN Certification.
  • Two (2) year of recent RN experience in a hospital acute care setting such as the ICU or Emergency Department.
  • One (1) year of recent RN experience in an Electrophysiology Lab or Cath Lab.

Position Pay Range:
$57.00-$81.60/hour
