- Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continuously sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Negotiate price and terms with vendors and service providers, securing optimal quality, delivery, best-in-class pricing, and terms for BluePoint.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of purchasing experience, global operations, or finance.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement strategies, tactics, negotiation, and contracting skills.
- CPSM certification is a plus.
