***Engineering Trainee will provide support to engineering team. He/she will be involved in engineering and administration of projects; assists in obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing of drawings, product data and samples. This position assists in the communication of this information across all levels of the team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists in administration of engineering projects, obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing drawings, product data and samples.
  • Assists in design, installation and operational checkouts of various mechanical systems.
  • Supports test operations and research testing.
  • Creates 2D/3D models and drawings.
  • Optimizes existing designs to required specifications.
  • Creates technical files for machine documentation.
  • Generates reports to management regarding project progress.
  • Prepares equipment or material specifications.
  • Reads design procedures and specifications leading to construction documents.
  • Assists in developing inspection plans for new parts or machines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a 4year accredited college/university is required.
  • Experience in using 2D and/or 3D CAP models & drawings.
  • Ability to perform designs using relevant design software.
  • Ability to work on afternoon/evening shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong administrative, recordkeeping and followup skills required.
  • Good multitasking, organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills to employees & leaders.

B. LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English. Bilingual in English and Chinese, or English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay:
Up to $27.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
