Description

This position pays $19.10 to start and after a 90 day performance review can go up to $20.10 per hour.


In the broadest sense, it is the Forest Highlands Gate Attendant duty to endeavor to provide the very best customer service and logistic assistance to members and vendors of Forest Highlands Golf Club.

Primarily this position is is to work in the community entrance gatehouse (answer/make phone calls, process visitors in to the community, monitor alarms and radio traffic, dispatch officers accordingly. Specifically, the duties and functions may include but are not limited to the following.


Essential Functions:


  • Enforce Forest Highland's rules and regulations.
  • Attempt to correct or report to proper authorities in the event of unsafe or illegal activities.
  • Observe, control and document guest/visitor entry into Forest Highlands' property.
  • Utilize the dwellingLIVE guest management system as described in the manual.
  • Maintain key control; lock and unlock facilities and residences, and monitor alarms.
  • Provide directions, information and assistance as appropriate.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly workplace.
  • Other duties as required by the shift supervisor

Minimum Requirements:


  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
  • Must be selfmotivated with a positive and professional attitude;
  • Organized, able to work in a busy environment where priorities change;
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times while working flexible hours with an enthusiastic personality;
  • Must be reliable

Preferred Requirements:


  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Ability to use computers and learn software related to alarm monitoring software;
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards; and

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, vendors/suppliers, the general public and other employees of the Company.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


  • Position is in a busy private golf residential community;
  • Flexibility in schedule;
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally;
  • Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop kneel, crouch, adjust vision accordingly (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception);
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions including low temperatures;
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and a quiet work environment;
  • Continuous ability to talk and hear; and
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
