    Description


    Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a manufacturing company fill a Project Engineer position in the greater New York City metro area on the New Jersey side of the river.

    The ideal candidate will manage continuous improvement efforts and projects in support of the manufacturing site, facility operations, and research and development.


    This position will work closely with the Director of Facilities and Capital Management, Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, and the Quality & EHS Managers to ensure seamless integration of any plant modifications.

    Responsibilities
    Manage Continuous Improvement projects
    Manage Small and Medium Capital projects
    Provide production support, including writing & maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
    Assist in developing and implementing manufacturing process improvements as part of the Process Improvement Team
    Coordinate technical activities supporting troubleshooting events
    Ensure day-to-day technical support to plant operations
    Provide capital justifications & budget
    Lead equipment upgrades, new equipment, automation and other capital projects, staying on time and on budget
    Manage all outside contractors related to project activity

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an applicable field
    3+ years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager in a manufacturing environment
    Prior experience with chemical manufacturing strongly preferred
    Strong understanding of facility and manufacturing operations, including an ability to comprehend pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and schematics
