    Description



    Job Description:

    As a Director of Compensation at Fidelity, you will lead compensation initiatives and programs, and collaborate with the HR team to design, deliver, and provide advice on solutions meeting both short and long-term needs of Fidelity s diverse business and support groups.

    You will act as a Compensation Specialist, closely partnering with HR peers and senior management to offer the necessary consulting and direction to execute pay programs aligning with overall business goals. Your role includes contributing to Fidelity s wider compensation community, actively participating in shaping the future of compensation through continuous development and sharing of strategies and resources benefiting our businesses, leaders, and associates towards goal achievement.

    We have openings across various BUs/Functions such as Asset Management, Corporate Services & Legal, Risk & Compliance, Enterprise Technology & Global Services, and Fidelity Institutional & Fund and Brokerage Operations and Technology.



    The Team

    The Human Resources team comprises professionals working in Line HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Operations, Sales Compensation, Communications, Finance, and Workforce Analytics. We serve as key partners to colleagues within business units to create and execute HR and learning programs and strategies. Additionally, we collaborate closely with enterprise HR teams to deploy and back central programs and initiatives.



    The Experience You Have

    • Bachelors or equivalent; 8+ years experience in compensation/sales compensation and/or finance/business preferred


    The Skills You Bring

    • You have led, developed, and overseen various compensation programs and processes covering base salary, variable pay plans, sales compensation, compensation strategy, and competitive pay analysis
    • You possess expertise in different approaches and tools used for compensation-related market research, modeling, and analysis
    • You demonstrate strong analytical skills, breaking down complex questions/data into structured analyses and highlighting key points
    • You excel in managing multiple programs, processes, and initiatives concurrently, collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders, and showcasing an end-to-end thinking approach
    • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel analysis and have experience with diverse HR database applications
    • You have the confidence and skill to develop and deliver formal and informal reports, presentations, and communications to executive audiences
    • You are enthusiastic about establishing consultative partnerships with HR, Finance, and senior business leaders
    • You enjoy working on initiatives and programs that often extend beyond the scope of the local team and business unit


    The Value You Deliver

    Client Support/Relationship Management: Offer consultation, coaching, and advanced guidance to Line HR and senior business leaders on complex compensation matters. Conduct analysis to tackle compensation issues, projects, or initiatives. Formulate pay recommendations for executive placements. Engage in designing & providing manager and HR training sessions to enhance the comprehension of our compensation philosophy, strategies, programs, and decisions.

    Workforce Analytics: Collaborate with HR colleagues to better integrate HR data and analytics to support workforce plans and business practices. Create impactful data visualizations for HR peers and leaders to facilitate better insights and decisions.

    Program Design: Collaborate with Finance/Variable Compensation teams to architect and implement sales incentive schemes, and support formal plan governance and oversight activities. Represent the customer's voice in enterprise-wide pay programs design and lead client pay program development.

    Cycle Management: Act as the main contact for Line HR for annual cycle administration activities. Inform, oversee, and measure operational cycle elements. Offer support for issue resolution, reporting, and analysis.

    Collaborate with Enterprise Compensation to define shared reporting needs. Work closely with Line HR and Finance/Variable Comp teams to back variable semi-annual bonus cycles.

    Market Data Management: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on market surveys, data, and tools. Lead competitive evaluations using market analysis, comprising defining peer groups and making recommendations presented to management. Coordinate job matching process, review data post-survey completion, and analyze market survey data trends.
