Description

• Fill requisitions from the nursing department for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure the home has adequate emergency supplies.
• Responsible for managing equipment rentals, negative pressure wound therapy machines (wound vacs), respiratory equipment, and similar equipment and supplies
• Manage and update running log of medical equipment (O2 concentrators, Nebulizer Machines, Air Mattresses, and similar equipment and supplies)
• Maintain supply and storage rooms in an organized, clean and safe condition in compliance with applicable local, state or federal regulations.
• Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment. Rotates supplies to avoid loss of expired items.
• Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared signed, and submitted as required in procurement policies and procedures.
• May order supplies within allocated budget from approved company vendors and processes orders in accordance with procurement procedures and location protocols.
• Coordinate claims on damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc. and returns to vendor as required.
• Follow process to ensure supplies are tracked and charged appropriately.
• Checks invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc., against incoming merchandise.
• Ensures defective equipment is identified for maintenance repair as required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Cleans and checks equipment as directed/necessary.
• Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor;
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures;
• Performs related work as assigned.
