Service Technician
The Company

The Service Operations Department is a small high impact department that is responsible for maintaining all existing sites as well as survey all new sites.
The Service department maintains a very busy schedule which means that it takes a special person to fit in this department.
The Responsibilities
- Determine how and where solar modules will fit on a roof, existing structural condition(s), existing electrical system(s), where to mount Balance of System parts, and the general layout of property.
- Identify viable installation surfaces, measure and record roof dimensions, evaluate electrical equipment, determine a suitable solar point of connection (POC), and gather data required to determine a mounting plane's structural integrity.
- Service Technicians are expected to behave in a respectful, orderly, considerate and safe manner when performing their work at the customer's property. It is the responsibility of the Service Technician to notify the Service Operations Manager as well as the homeowner, if they are going to be late arriving at a scheduled appointment.
- Perform rooftop array layout activities when needed.
- Install DC System components in accordance with plans and manufacturers' specifications.
- Repair/maintain equipment
- Gather information about customers' electrical systems
- Document findings gathered into SiteCapture
- Additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in the solar industry or NABCEP Entry Level Course Completion preferred
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold) and capable of lifting 50 LBS
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, and work on rooftops
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be a selfstarter with a natural sense of urgency and motivation to succeed
- Must have a valid state driver's license and the ability to pass a preemployment background screening
- Must be able to work alone
- Must be able to effectively manage your own calendar and time.
Work
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday
A clean driving record is required for the company vehicle.
Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour
