We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, motivated, deadline driven individual to join our Florida based team.
ROLE
Based in our Miami Lakes, Florida facility, the
Bookkeeper position is responsible for assisting the existing team with Bookkeeping/Accounting functions, month end and quarterly accruals, inter-company reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and other typical accounting duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, certifications, general knowledge, skills and abilities.)
- 35 years of proven experience in accounting as bookkeeper
- Minimum Associate in Business Administration or in Accounting from accredited US program
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Excel
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental duties necessary to achieve the objective of the position)
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assisting in full cycle accounting process, including A/P, A/R, and Inventory functions
- Maintaining accurate and organized financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements
- Assisting in reconciling company credit cards : send statements and collect receipts; match receipts with statements; enter data into QuickBooks
- Bank Reconciliations : monthly bank reconciliation in QuickBooks for three companies
- Monthly/Quarterly Accruals : calculate monthly / quarterly accruals
- Investigating account discrepancies
- Back up for A/P : requesting approvals; requesting backup for invoices; entering bills into QuickBooks; sign off the balances quarterly, match with each company monthly using intercompany exchange rates
KEY SKILLS (Knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the functions)
- Experience in Fishbowl, Zoho, Word preferred
- Time management and ability to multitask with changing priorities with a sense of urgency when needed
- Strong understanding of accounting responsibilities
- Strong attentiontodetail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to complete jobs quickly yet accurately
Must speak and write English proficiently, Spanish is a plus
