To execute on our vision and strategic imperatives, the Enterprise Data Services & Operations (EDSO) team is focused on building a modern, connected data ecosystem that accelerates the use of data, analytics, and advanced AI.

We are looking for passionate and motivated data engineers/product owners to join our growing team of engineers.

We are on a mission to transform technology and health care and you will play a pivotal role in executing our strategies and making our vision come true.

This is a hybrid position requiring working from the Aetna office in Hartford, CT 3 days a week. Applicants will need to reside within driving distance of location. Training and development will be a part of your role.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working with experts within the team and crossfunctionally to develop, migrate and manage portfolio of Healthcare Applications within Enterprise Data Services.
  • Acting as a project manager/liaison between business leaders and the internal team for intaking project requirements, providing status updates and managing expectations on timelines/deliverables for all migration program activities.
  • Collaborating with business partners to understand their problems and goals, user stories, planning, roadmap creation, data reports and performance metrics for migrating the current Business workloads from onpremises to Cloud environment.
  • Developing and participating in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions.
  • Interacting with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
  • Using knowledge in SQL to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions.
  • Implementing data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data and privacy regulation.
  • Creating/maintaining documentation for data processes, data flows and system configurations.
  • Promoting engineering excellence by simplifying, optimizing, and automating processes and workflows.
  • Innovating by leveraging and practicing agile techniques to achieve efficiency, boost productivity and improve processes.
  • Supporting all phases of software life engineering including ideation, refinements, analysis, development, and deployment while adhering to agile software development methodology.

Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years' experience in technical project management.
  • 3+ years' healthcare data experience.
  • 3+ years' experience with database management (relational, nonrelational) and ETL tools.
  • 3+ years' experience strategy consulting or on strategy teams in large companies.
  • 3+ years business experience leading analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact.
  • Experience in SQL, JIRA/Rally, MS office.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Data & Migration program project management.
  • Healthcare sector experience preferred especially Aetna Application experience.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.
  • People management experience.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Cloud Enablement tools.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science Engineering, Data Analytics, Informatics, Information Systems, or related quantitative field, Machine Le
