    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High school diploma/GED required.AA/AS degree in Business, Finance, Physical Recreation, Exercise Science or another related field preferred. Required three (3) years managerial/supervisory experience including budgetary responsibility preferred.Strong word processing skills, spreadsheets and ActiveNet database management are required.At least one year of experience managing, supervising, and providing oversight of recreation programming to include the creation of aquatics, intramural sport programming, and/or fitness programming preferred.Minimum of two years professional work with children and families, with professional experience in wellness program administration preferred.Excellent customer service with an ability to establish and maintain supportive working relationships within the team, the public, service groups, and facility users with focus on the needs in the community. Prior experience working in a tribal setting preferred.Background check required. Current First Aid, CPR, AED, and Lifeguard Certification required or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days/evenings/weekend hours as programming required.

    ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Maintains a positive peer relationship and performs as a team player.
    • Plans and prioritizes to maintain a time and attendance record which complies with company policy.
    • Provides excellent internal and external customer service assistance, providing knowledgeable and appropriate information to customers in planning programs and events.
    • Works independently in a very detail-oriented manner and meets deadlines.
      • Employee reports to work in a timely manner.
      • Employee utilizes breaks and meal periods to care for personal business outside of the work area.
      • Employee completes work assignments in a timely manner and appropriately exits the work area in a timely manner.
      • Employee appropriately utilizes Time and Attendance for clocking in and out and schedules absences in advance when possible.
      • Employee is available for scheduled work shifts regularly and communicates absence to supervisor in a timely manner if unavailable.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Responsible for the overall successful operation of the Wellness Center memberships.
    • Responsible for fitness and group exercise programming at the Wellness Center.
    • Consistently promotes a positive, professional image of Marimn Health at all times and provides consistent high-quality customer service to all patrons.
    • Coordinates use of facility with Operations team and staff to manage and schedule daily programming in conjunction with other internal and external events and activities.
    • Ability to perform lifeguard duties and train and supervise employees performing lifeguard duties as necessary to ensure effective and safe operations.
    • Makes thoughtful and reasonable day-to-day decisions regarding policies and procedures, legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Develops, implements, and supervises the facility administration and operation and programs.
    • Consistently demonstrates positive, effective communication skills and interactions with the Wellness Services Director, Wellness Services Operations team, employees, members, volunteers, other agencies, and organizations.
    • Demonstrate the ability to collect, integrate, analyze, and use electronic data collection to analyze and compare programming participation with an ability to modify programming to maximize programming resources.
    • Assist as needed in Wellness/Coeur Center special events/activities.
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of and comply with the company's policies and procedures and consistently and appropriately enforce them.
      • Provides support to Wellness Services Director and Wellness Services Operations Team.
      • Serving as Manager on Duty while on shift and in the absence of the Wellness Services Director, may serve as acting Director as requested.
      • Prepares programming data for Board reports two weeks prior to board meeting as requested.
      • Maintain an inventory of supplies for multiple aquatics facilities assuring all equipment, classes and programming needs are met (equipment, chemicals etc.).
      • Makes recommendations for equipment purchases and repairs while following budget guidelines.
      • Ensure smooth facility reservations and room set up.
      • Responsible for thorough orientation and training for staff and volunteers working closely with the Wellness Services Operations Manager when onboarding staff.
      • Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff, including correcting work deficiencies, issuing corrective actions in compliance with organization guidelines. Recommend disciplinary action to the Wellness Services Director as needed.
      • Build department staffing schedule and review and approve leave requests in adherence with Marimn Health leave policy. Review and submit accurate time sheets for all staff.
      • Develop Wellness Center components of the annual budget to include facility-specific components including but not limited to revenues, labor cost, and other expenses for Health Board consideration and approval.
      • Ensure staff coordinate with Marimn Health Marketing team on advertising of events, programs, and activities at the Wellness Center, following Wellness Services submission process.
      • Collaborate with the Aquatics Manager to maintain an inventory of supplies for multiple aquatics facilities assuring all equipment, classes and programming needs are met (equipment, chemicals etc.).
      • Responsible for developing and overseeing the annual programming calendar for youth/adults/families.
      • Attends organizational staff meetings as required and serves on assigned committees and prepares reports as requested.
      • Assists with programming, relations, and other requests of the Wellness Services Director.
      • Establish wellness programming with Trauma Informed Care considerations, ensuring staff training and awareness.
      • Develop and oversee processes for member checkout/check in of organization fitness/recreation/watercraft equipment, working closely with Operations team ensuring policy/protocol compliance.
      • Work with Facilities department to address any maintenance concerns immediately and ask for assistance from Facilities if unable to resolve the problem.
      • Responds in a timely manner to assignments and communicates with the Wellness Services Director when timelines cannot be met.
      • Develops policies and procedures for all aspects of Wellness Center program that meet nationally accepted standards in serving all ages.
    • Perform daily walk through of facility to check safety of programming space, ensuring pool and surrounding areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness guidelines, and ensuring workspace is presentable.
    • Work and direct others to work in a safe manner utilizing PPE as recommended and required when monitoring and regulating pool chemistry, performing routine maintenance.
    • Ensure aquatic/fitness surrounding areas meet health, safety and cleanliness guidelines, seeking guidance from the Aquatics Manager.
    • Maintain and enforce CPO certified staff to handle chemicals and equipment safely by enforcing use of PPE when applicable, reporting concerns to the Aquatics Manager.
    • Work closely with the Aquatics Manager in supporting the review, implement and adhere to aquatic/fitness maintenance schedule (i.e. monitoring backwashing, chemical balancing, annual cleaning, etc.) in compliance with applicable state, federal or other regulatory agencies.
    • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations in management of wellness programming.
    • Handle and resolve all member issues or concerns in a timely manner keeping Wellness Services Director informed and seeking approval as needed for membership violations that may lead to suspension.
    • Review and oversee every aspect of memberships across Wellness Services, to include Boys & Girls Club, Coeur Center, Wellness Center ensuring membership accuracy, making recommendations and adjustments as needed.
    • Responsible for ensuring prospective new members receive a thorough orientation of the Wellness Center, membership benefits, and facility tour.
    • Conducts informational tours in situations not involving membership sales.
    • Serves as a liaison between members of the Finance Department & Wellness/ Coeur Center and make sure that information is accurate and updated with billing and deposits.
    • Responsible for sharing information by preparing mailouts/flyers on upcoming events or programs that would be of interest to members.
    • Makes follow-up phone calls as necessary on comment cards or surveys completed by members as requested by the Wellness Center Director.
    • Maintains Pro-Shop and Snack Bar inventory.
    • Strictly adheres to and enforces staff compliance with organization guidelines such as food handling and safety.
    • Develop and train staff on Wellness Services Programming Manual.
