The role will work a hybrid schedule from our New York office.


The Business Intelligence & Analytics Associate will be responsible for gathering business data through many different methods, including mining the company's computer data, looking at competitor data, consolidate data and studying industry trends.

With the data collected, they will assist in developing a picture of the company's competitiveness compared to other players in the market.


Responsibilities:


  • The Business Intelligence & Analytics role will require a person who has proficiency in analytical approach for insurance data, thoughtful analyses & reporting initiatives that translate into solutions that support the corporate strategy and manage BI solutions
  • Analyze wide variety of Insurance data for multiple divisions and consolidate data as single source of truth
  • Master Data Management
  • Create and maintain documentation, including requirements, design and functional documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions
  • Prep, ingest, cleanse, scrub, maintain and validate data in the data warehouses
  • Helps to keep track of monthly process execution, coordinate with respective divisions to data anomaly or missing data
  • Lead crossfunctional analytical efforts to help shape the Jencap Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Create high quality deliverables based on in depth analytics that provide visual storytelling with supporting details for management at various levels
  • Capable of creating Ad Hoc ETL process or programs for inhouse projects using SSIS, Azure Data Factory is plus
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and make recommendations on reporting/BI solutions

Requirements:


  • College Degree (Masters/BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or similar area
  • 5+ years overall experience in Insurance domain knowledge preferably Brokerage, P&C
  • Experience on Data Conversion and Migration technologies
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Data Analysis, Data Validation and Visualization tools/functions
  • Pivot table, Power Pivot etc
  • Proficient for BI Reporting tool
  • Power BI, DAX
  • Strong handson SQL Experience
  • SQL Server
  • Expert in Python programming
  • Expert in ETL tool (ADF, SSIS, Informatica, DataStage)
  • Working knowledge of data lake, data warehouse, big data concepts and terminology
  • Working knowledge of cloud environment
  • Azure Cloud environments preferred
  • Experience of any ETL tool (ADF, SSIS, Informatica, DataStage)
  • Ability to work independently and proactively deliver business results in a timely fashion
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently
  • Quick learner and ability to accept rapid changes
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving skills and communication/presentation skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration, written/verbal communication and team skills working with crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing deadline
