Duties:


  • Implements, administers, and coordinates information technology (IT) acquisition efforts for the assigned portfolio
  • Analyzes and defines data requirements and specifications leading to the design and development of databases
  • Plans, organizes, and manages complex IT projects; exercising responsibility for plan and schedule development, estimating requirements, defining milestones, deliverables, deadlines, completion timeframes, and more

Conditions of Employment:


  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Statement of Employment & Financial Interest required prior to appointment.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.

  • Attention to Detail exercises direct accountability for analyzing and refining systems requirements;
  • Oral Communication articulates and communicates to contractor project managers, the assignment, project, or problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, deadlines and timeframes for completion

AND Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.


Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with project management in planning, procurement, execution, and completion of a project
  • Experience in analyzing data requirements, data standards and policies; or IT architecture

NOTE:

In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.


There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.

  • Customer Service oversees the planning, implementation, and administration of secure workstations
  • Oral Communication advises and assists other IT Specialists
  • Problem Solving serves as a Subject Matter Expert in data management and cybersecurity

AND Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.


Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with project management in planning, procurement, execution, and completion of a project
  • Experience with new and emerging information systems cybersecurity trends, developments, and issues
  • Experience advising and consulting with endusers in their identification and evaluation of functions
  • Experience understanding database management, data standards and cloud technologies

NOTE:

In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
