Florida's largest independent scale dealer is seeking a dedicated and motivated Service Manager to join our dynamic team If you're looking to play a key role in managing a team, we're interested in hearing from you.

Located in the heart of Longwood, FL, our vibrant city is surrounded by lush greenery, has easy access to nearby state parks, tranquil lakes for water sports, and recreational and cultural amenities, making it a wonderful place to live and work.

Experience in our industry is a plus but not required, as we offer in-house training. The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and perform in an ever-changing, fluid environment is a must.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling customer inquiries and complaints
  • Creating and maintaining contractor, manufacturer and customer files
  • Screening maintenance agreements monthly for cost and price increases
  • Maintaining records of calibration agreements and extended warranty agreements; tracking calibration due dates for customers and company equipment as well as performing initial reviews of calibration agreements on an annual basis
  • Ensuring meticulous OSHA tracking, including form completion and timely updates
  • Documenting and updating customer records based on interactions
  • Tracking, reviewing and renewals of our ISO 17025 certifications and assuring our conformance to the ISO standards
  • Tracking truck repairs and service scheduled by technicians; as well as permits, licenses and regulations for the company trucks
  • Quoting truck scale installs, maintenance agreements, and repairs
  • Reviewing and invoicing service orders
  • Overseeing inventory management for entire fleet and warehouse to ensure accurate tracking and efficient operations
  • Managing and overseeing tech reviews to ensure quality service delivery
  • Various data entry duties
  • Developing and maintaining a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
  • Handling workman's comp claims and auto accident claims
  • At times, stepping in as Service Coordinator scheduling technicians in 4 regions for daily service calibration calls, emergency service, sales deliveries, shipping and receiving, purchasing, assisting sales with rentals and scheduling, as well as billing and payment collections
  • Scheduling and management experience
  • Good geographical knowledge of the state of Florida

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team to achieve organizational goals
  • Strong mathematical and literacy skills required, coupled with adept problemsolving abilities and strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Positive and professional attitude is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to follow directions
  • Selfmotivator
  • Experience or knowledge in the scale industry is a plus
