Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorneys in handling personal injury cases. Your role will involve legal case management, research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with client communication.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, from case inception to settlement or trial
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for case preparation
- Perform legal research using various resources, such as Westlaw, to support case strategies
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Coordinate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary documentation
- Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and other trialrelated tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Previous experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in legal research and familiar with using resources such as Westlaw
- Knowledge of legal drafting and document preparation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
