JOB SUMMARY
Supports an organization or department by performing administrative services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers telephones and provides information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains and updates appointment calendars.
  • Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, or basic reports.
  • Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail or other materials and answers routine letters.

  • Has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
  • Works within established procedures with a close to moderate degree of supervision.
  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

HS diploma or GED required.

1 to 2 years of experience required.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
