Medical Records Technician:

North Country HealthCare is transforming healthcare for rural Arizona as a Federally Qualified Health Center and Teaching Health Center.

We provide Primary Care, Dental, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population across 12 communities in northern Arizona.

General Description of Position:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Gathers, sorts and routes patient health records obtained through various methods (scanned in by office staff, electronically faxed, etc.)
Prepares medical records for automated routing into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Manually indexes health records when automation fails
Monitors and corrects patient records for discrepancies, inaccuracies, and duplication
Communicates and collaborates with other North Country departments and external partners to ensure timeliness and accuracy of patient record

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED
06 Months related experience or training
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems, Computer Systems, Microsoft Office
(Preferred, not required)
