    MRG Exams is a prominent provider of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings (PPIR) services for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), third-party administrators, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and employers. We are currently searching for dedicated and board-certified MDs or DOs in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics, in addition to licensed Psychologists and Psychiatrists, to join our team as an Independent Medical Evaluator. This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced providers as well as individuals starting their careers in Independent Medical Evaluations.

    Job Description:

    As an IME Specialist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive medical assessments, evaluating permanent partial impairment, and delivering objective opinions in a narrative report to facilitate claims adjudication and case management processes. While training is offered, having experience or being open to learning is crucial. Travel within Ohio is required, and candidates already on the BWC's Disability Evaluators Panel are highly preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments following Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
    • Accurately and objectively perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
    • Document findings and generate clear, concise reports within specified timelines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure top-notch service for our clients.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Engage in continuous training and professional development opportunities.
    • Portray the company with professionalism and integrity in all dealings.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed psychologist (PhD or PsyD).
    • Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio.
    • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
    • Previous experience with IME/impairment rating exams is advantageous but not mandatory.
