The main function of the BOM Analyst is to cleanse and validate Bill of material (BOM) data for Client Products.
- The BOM analyst will use SQL in a Snowflake database to retrieve historical BOM data and transform it into an established structure.
- This will require strong SQL skills and occasional use of script languages and regular expressions.
- The analyst will also validate that the BOM data was successfully transformed and stored.
- They will also use their knowledge of Client Products and mechanical components to validate the completeness of BOM Data.
- The BOM Analyst will work with the As-Built BOM manager to determine the proper methods to achieve results.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:

The main function of the BOM Analyst is to cleanse and validate Bill of material (BOM) data for Client Products.
- The BOM analyst will use SQL in a Snowflake database to retrieve historical BOM data and transform it into an established structure.
- This will require strong SQL skills and occasional use of script languages and regular expressions.
- The analyst will also validate that the BOM data was successfully transformed and stored.
- They will also use their knowledge of Client Products and mechanical components to validate the completeness of BOM Data.
- The BOM Analyst will work with the As-Built BOM manager to determine the proper methods to achieve results.
Typical task breakdown:
- Write SQL queries to cleanse and transform historical Bill of Material data into a structured format.
- Validate that Bill of Material data is accurate and properly structured.
- Validate completeness of the Bill of material data. Knowledge of Client products and mechanical components will be necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of Client Inc.; its products and services
Interaction with team:
- Team of 23 folks, occasionally including someone who works in ACM/ coding.
Work environment:
- Hybrid model
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with 24 years' experience.
- Associates/ No college degree with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in this capacity.
Technical Skills
(required)
- SQL experience (24 years at a minimum).
- Experience with Client products.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- SQL, Snowflake
- Scripting experience in Perl, Python, R, or Regular expressions are bonus.
- Experience with product structure and engineering bill of materials
- Knowledge of Client products and components to validate the completeness of engineering bill of materials
