    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Build and manage the North America Thermal Management Industrial Engineering Team (IE) in Troy, MI and Irapuato, MX
    • Lead the IE activities for acquisitions and development projects in N.A. as part the global Schaeffler IE network
    • Lead process development, costing, investment and industrialization activities for NA product development
    • Grow the regional competences to form a self-sustainable IE organization
    • Initiate and manage new process developments in the region to increase competitiveness
    • Manage internal and external functions such as plant segments, special machinery equipment and process engineering providers
    • Steer budgeting process for TMM related plants within the global TMM organization
    • Manage productivity improvement and technical savings activities within the region
    • Manage prototype manufacturing and procurement within the Schaeffler network

    Your Qualifications

    • University degree in engineering, preferably manufacturing engineering
    • Minimum 6 years experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Proven background in plastics manufacturing processes, e.g. injection molding, welding and assembly
    • 3 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering related leadership role
    • Proven to be able to achieve results in a global matrix organization including EU and AP
    • Open to medium travel overseas and regular travel to Mexico
    • Spanish language skills would be preferred
