    SUMMARY:Supervise technicians maintaining efficient operation of ammonia refrigeration, fire protection, HVAC systems, warehouse equipment, material handling, storage racking; ensure facility cleanliness, food safety compliance.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Monitor preventive maintenance logs and checklists as required.
    • Schedule and monitor outside contractors' work.
    • Requisition tools, equipment, supplies.
    • Inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
    • Responsible for warehouse, equipment upkeep, security.
    • Maintain maintenance software for timely work completion.
    • Establish work procedures, schedules for sanitation, facilities.
    • Provide input for department budget preparation.
    • Foster colleague involvement, quality work, provide leadership.
    • Observe, enforce safety rules, report issues to supervisor.
    • Plan, manage daily staffing levels, assist in maintenance activities.
    • Comply with State/Federal laws, regulations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    EDUCATION:
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or five years maintenance experience, or equivalent.

    EXPERIENCE:
    • Four years supervisory maintenance experience.
    • Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of facilities equipment and systems.
    • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration operations required.
    • Electrical knowledge required, energy management system knowledge preferred.

    SKILLS:
    • BILINGUAL SPANISH STRONGLY PREFERRED
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to plan, organize work, analyze data, follow procedures.
    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Understanding of PLC.
    • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    • Certification on material handling equipment required.
    • Electrical, refrigeration license or certificate preferred.
    • Required to complete Ammonia Refrigeration Operator II certification.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:Describe working conditions, physical demands.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:Detail work environment characteristics.

    • This is a full-time position.
    • Ability to work varying schedules.
