    Description

    First Quality was founded in 1989 and has grown to be a global privately held company with over 4,000 employees. Its corporate offices are located in Great Neck, New York, with manufacturing facilities and offices in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, and Canada. First Quality is a diversified family of companies manufacturing consumer products ranging from Absorbent Hygiene (adult incontinence, feminine care, and baby care), Tissue (bath and towel), and Industrial (print and packaging materials), serving institutional and retail markets throughout the world. First Quality focuses on private label and branded product lines.

    We are seeking an Operations Leader for our First Quality Print & Packaging facility located in Anderson, SC. As the Operations Leader you will have responsibility for the following areas: Extrusion Hall, Press Hall, Pre-Press, Ink Systems, Recycling Hall, Warehouse, Maintenance and Reliability and own the P&L and budgeting process within the facility.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Create a safe and clean environment for all employees that meets and exceeds leading standards.
    • Maximize uptime, minimize scrap and reduce overall cost that creates the most effective and efficient manufacturing environment.
    • Implement KPIs using available data and systems to track progress real time.
    • Create an environment where people are engaged and motivated.
    • Ensure we are proficient with our maintenance and reliability efforts.
    • Provide leadership to support the company's growth.
    • Support sales growth through operational efficiency while minimizing complexity.
    The ideal candidate should possess the following:
    • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience
    • Specific experience in engineering and operations roles, preferably within the flexible packaging industry with a focus on film extrusion, recycling, and printing.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
    • Lean Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
    • P/L experience including budget development, cost, and variance analysis.
    • Ability to manage timelines and balance multiple deadlines.
    • Demonstrated leadership, communications, and analytical skills.
    • Highly collaborative and team oriented with the ability to build a strong team and focus all on eliminating complexities from the manufacturing environment.
    • Strong problem solver with excellent communication skills to speak clearly and persuasively.
    • Highly customer focused and collaborative - both internally & externally
    • Proficient with quality and process improvement tools and techniques such as SPC/SQC, TPM, and Six Sigma
    • People coaching and development experience required to meet current and future business requirements efficiently, while also accomplishing career development and succession.
    • Ability to establish trust with customers.

    • Ability to collaborate across the organization
