Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team.

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with a range of need and DSM-5 diagnostic conditions.

Maryland Neuropsychological Services is in particular need of clinicians comfortable working with Autisitic children and adults.

We need a therapist willing to have at least one in-person day a week and who is able to offer some after-school availability for our clients, as needed.

Duties:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide direct patient care
• Monitor and document patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment
• Utilize evidencebased therapy to support patients' emotional wellbeing
• Implement crisis management strategies and safety planning as needed to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and/or teachers to help ensure quality care
• Assist in diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients' mental health conditions
• Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records
• Provide timely turnaround of notes
• Maintain appropriate licenses and malpractice insurance coverage

Skills:

• Previous experience working with Autism is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and other mental health conditions
• Ability to provide parent coaching/training and to provide family therapy, as needed
• Familiarity with evidenced based therapies
• Proficient in crisis management strategies
• Experience using a telehealth platform for mental health care
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques
• Understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and assessments for mental health conditions

Education/Licenses:

• A minimum of a Masters in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited university.
• Indepent license to practice in the state of Maryland (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Psychologist)
• Ability to legally practice via telehealth across state lines in preferred, but not required
