    Apiphani is looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our team as we build the next generation of tools for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Based in Boston and embracing a remote-friendly work environment, we are at the forefront of developing the Luumen platform, a SaaS platform designed to transform and disrupt managed application services. Luumen powers enterprise-grade workload management for some of the largest companies worldwide, featuring both internal tools for automating application and system-level functions and an external client portal to streamline interactions. Utilizing a modern tech stack with ReactJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, TypeScript, MongoDB, and AWS, Luumen provides a robust solution for monitoring and managing cloud-based application workloads.

    We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who:

    • Builds and scales systems from scratch, possessing strong full-stack development skills, particularly in TypeScript.
    • Handles complex technical challenges, communicates effectively about intricate product decisions, and collaborates closely with stakeholders and team members.
    • Takes full ownership of product domains from deployment to maintenance and monitoring.
    • Delivers software features on time, with strong organizational and documentation capabilities.
    • Engages with both the detailed and strategic aspects of technical projects to ensure successful outcomes.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with distributed systems such as AWS Lambda, ECS Containers, and AWS CDK.
    • Some familiarity with Golang
    • Background in enterprise IT, including expertise with Enterprise Linux, SAP, and other ERP applications.
    • Proficiency in developing command-line interfaces using libraries like , , and Chalk.
    • Experience compiling applications into standalone executables using tools such as pkg and nexe.
    • Familiarity with designing modular CLI architectures that integrate with RESTful APIs and enhance existing systems.
    • Knowledge of LLMs, AI Agents, or similar technologies.
    • Experience or insight into building APM-style agents.
    • Previous experience in an early-stage venture-backed startup.
    • Academic background in computer science or software engineering.

      General Requirements:
      • Based in Boston, MA preferred.
      • US Citizen or permanent resident, as required by regulatory and customer requirements.
