    Description

    Amotec is currently supporting a search for a Chief Financial Officer. Our client, located in the suburbs north of Boston, MA, is a privately owned, custom manufacturer with diverse manufacturing capabilities and an International presence. This organization has been in business for over 75 years and is poised for substantial growth. As the CFO, you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's operational & financial success while acting as an invaluable advisor to the President/CEO. The ideal candidate will have operational experience with a true understanding of cost variables, gross margins and variable overhead and can effectively communicate this to the team.

    Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities:

    • Direct the finance department to ensure compliance, efficiency, accuracy, and fiscal integrity. Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, providing strategic counsel to senior leadership.
    • Collaborate with the CEO to facilitate forward planning, strategic financial management, and comprehensive budget analysis.
    • Ensure adherence to US regulations and reporting standards, preparing requisite compliance reports promptly.
    • Establish and refine management accounting systems and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Monitor and assess manufacturing costs to identify avenues for enhanced efficiency.
    • Supervise the efficient utilization of IT systems to bolster business processes and strategic initiatives.
    • Manage the company's assets and securities, optimizing financial performance and supporting growth endeavors.

    Chief Financial Officer Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years in senior finance/accounting leadership roles.
    • Proficiency in strategic planning, business process optimization, and risk mitigation.
    • Familiarity with US accounting standards, government grant processes, and auditing protocols.
    • Extensive experience in implementing and managing computerized management information systems.
    • Experience working with local municipalities to obtain grants is a plus
