The Ark Shelter supports youth and families who are in crisis to become stable, develop strong and healthy relationships, and develop positive, achievable goals for the future.
The Shelter Care Worker provides daily support to youth by assuring a safe and healthy environment, empowering youth to identify healthy lifestyle behaviors and to develop positive decision-making skills.
Promotes the mission of Catholic Charities and positive working relationships among staff. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and stable environment for residents and staff.REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent; reliable transportation, valid driver's license with six (6) points or less. Experience in a residential, group home, adult foster care or direct care setting is desirable. Commitment to fulfill shift obligations, the efficient operations of the shelter and commit to positive youth development. Strong engagement and de-escalation skills.
HOURS:32-40 hours/week; 11pm-7am or 12am-8am; Hourly, Non-Exempt; Benefit eligible
HOURLY WAGE:
$15.50/hour, $18.00/hour upon completion of required training and 90 days of employment.
Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
